'Fokos with Purpleheartwood'

Head 6.5" ; Height 34"

A Fokos is an Eastern European / Baltic walking stick with a small axe-head for utility and self-defense. The Damascus is a 48 layer twist in 15N20 and 1084 steels with a core on both the spike and the blade of layered 1084. The rounded ( yet potentially dangerous ) spike and the edge are differentially hardened. Purpleheartwood is a very hard and stable wood; it gets used for martial arts stick fighting. The color of the wood will darken to a rich purple with age.

'Spiral Dagger'

Blade 7" ; Handle 6"

This blade was commissioned as an Athame- the Damascus was forged in a mythopoetic setting. The insignia on the pommel is the bolt that holds the handle in place. When removed it reveals a chamber in the tang for personal relics... the twisted wire wrap connects to the end of the tang and the blade, acting as a conduit for visualized energy. An ebony handle depicts a serpent and the fittings are all sterling silver.

'Damascus Bowie with Celtic Green-Man'

The Damascus is a 200 layer twist. There is a Fire Agate set in 14k gold where a small tine was filed off and smoothed out - the stone matches the antler color and texture beautifully. The bolster is made from the same piece of damascus material and the handle is Vermont antler. The face carved in the pommel is the famous Green-Man with leaves on his face and bursting from his mouth - the Green Man was hidden in the corners of Christian churches by Pagan Masons and is a symbol of the connection between Nature and Mankind.

Crystal Blade

Quartz, Sterling, Purpleheart wood, Citrine, Chyrsoprase, Blue agate and Chalcedony. This commissioned blade is an Athame - a blade used in Wiccan ritual. The blade is handcut from a quartz crystal. The stones represent the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
